Stress is not the problem

Stress itself is not the problem. In fact, it is one of the body’s most intelligent survival mechanisms. The problem is that many of us spend so much time preparing for the next thing that we rarely return to balance afterwards.

We carry yesterday’s meeting into today’s breakfast. Today’s worries into tonight’s sleep. Tomorrow’s plans into the present moment.

Over time, this state of activation begins to feel normal. So normal, in fact, that many people no longer recognise it as stress. They simply call it life.
