Sitkari

The word sitkari comes from the soft hissing sound produced during inhalation. In yogic traditions, it is classified as a cooling pranayama and is often practiced during periods of physical heat, restlessness, irritability, or mental overactivity.

Practitioners often report feeling calmer, quieter, and more relaxed after a few rounds. It can be particularly useful during warm weather, after intense activity, or whenever the mind feels overstimulated.
