Surya Namaskars

Surya Namaskar is a sequence of twelve postures performed in a continuous flow with the breath.

Traditionally practiced at sunrise, it was conceived as an offering to the sun, the source of light, warmth, and life. For generations, yogis have used it as a way of preparing the body and mind for the day ahead.

In this chapter, Surya Namaskars serve as preparation for pranayama.
