Common mistakes

  • Step 2, Raised Arms Pose. Keep the arms and head in one line. Avoid dropping the head backwards independently.
  • Step 4, Equestrian Pose. The back knee rests on the ground. The toes are pointed behind you.
  • Step 5, Plank. Keep the body in one straight line. Avoid allowing the hips to sag or lift excessively.
  • Step 7, Cobra. Slide forward before lifting the chest. Keep the abdomen on the ground. Allow the back muscles to do most of the work rather than pushing aggressively through the arms.
  • Step 8, Downward Dog. Avoid moving the hands or feet closer together after arriving in the posture. Maintain the original distance.
